The UN General Assembly declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives to be celebrated under the theme "Cooperatives Build a Better World." The 2025 UN International Year of Cooperatives (IYC) was officially launched at the ICA Global Cooperative Conference and General Assembly, in New Delhi, India. International Day of Cooperatives celebrated on first Saturday in July (July 5 in 2025). The United Nations General Assembly declared the first International Year of Cooperatives in 2012.
