Explaination:

India’s 4th Biennial Update Report (BUR-4) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was submitted on 30th December, 2024. Emissions by sector: Energy – 75.66%; Agriculture – 13.72%; Industrial Process and Product Use (IPPU) – 8.06%; and Waste – 2.56%. India’s forest and tree cover has consistently increased and currently stands at 25.17% of the total geographical area of the country. By October 2024, the share of non-fossil sources in the installed electricity generation capacity was 46.52%. Total installed capacity of renewable power, including large hydropower, is 203.22 GW.

भारताचा चौथा द्विवार्षिक अद्यतन अहवाल (बीयुआर -4) संयुक्त राष्ट्रांच्या हवामान बदल फ्रेमवर्क परिषदेकडे (UNFCCC) 30 डिसेंबर 2024 रोजी सुपूर्द करण्यात आला. क्षेत्रानुसार उत्सर्जन: ऊर्जा – 75.66%; कृषी - 13.72%; औद्योगिक प्रक्रिया आणि उत्पादन वापर (IPPU) – 8.06%; आणि कचरा - 2.56%. भारताचे जंगल आणि वृक्षाच्छादन सातत्याने वाढले आहे आणि सध्या ते देशाच्या एकूण भौगोलिक क्षेत्राच्या 25.17% इतके आहे. ऑक्टोबर 2024 पर्यंत, स्थापित वीज निर्मिती क्षमतेमध्ये जीवाश्म नसलेल्या स्त्रोतांचा वाटा 46.52% होता. मोठ्या जलविद्युतसह अक्षय उर्जेची एकूण स्थापित क्षमता 203.22 GW आहे.
