Explaination:

Union Cabinet approved the launching of the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) as a standalone Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare. Rooted in the traditional knowledge inherited from their forefathers, farmers will practise Natural Farming (NF) as a chemical free farming which involves local livestock integrated natural farming methods, diversified crop systems, etc. NF follows local agro-ecological principles rooted in local knowledge, location specific technologies and is evolved as per the local agro-ecology. NMNF aims at promoting NF practices for providing safe & nutritious food for all. The Mission is designed to support farmers to reduce input cost of cultivation and dependency to externally purchased inputs. Natural farming will build & maintain healthy soil ecosystems, promote biodiversity and encourage diverse cropping systems to enhance resilience as suitable to the local agroecology are the benefits of natural farming. NMNF is launched as a shift to scientifically revive and strengthen agriculture practices towards sustainability, climate resilience and healthy food for farmer families and consumers. The National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) has a target of initiating natural farming in 7.5 Lakh ha area and establishing 10,000 need based Bio-Input Resource Centers (BRCs) in 15000 clusters across all States & UTs. The Mission will train 18.75 Lakh farmers to practice natural farming and who will in turn outreach to one crore farmers. The Zero Budget Natural Farming has been renamed as Government started promoting Natural Farming since 2019 through a sub-scheme- Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhti (BPKP)under an umbrella scheme of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojna (PKVY). BPKP was aimed at promoting traditional indigenous practices which gives freedom to farmers from externally purchased inputs and islargely based on on-farm biomass recycling with major stress on biomass mulching, use of cow dung-urine formulations and plant based preparations in exclusion of all synthetic chemical inputs directly or indirectly.

सर्वांना सुरक्षित आणि पौष्टिक अन्न मिळावे, यासाठी नैसर्गिक शेतीच्या पद्धतींना प्रोत्साहन देणे, हे देशभरात नैसर्गिक शेतीला मिशन मोडमध्ये प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी, भारत सरकारने कृषी आणि कृषक कल्याण मंत्रालया अंतर्गत केंद्र प्रायोजित स्वतंत्र योजना म्हणून नॅशनल मिशन ऑन नॅचरल फार्मिंगची (एनएमएनएफ) सुरुवात केली आहे. एनएमएनएफ चे उद्दिष्ट आहे. मिशनची आखणी, शेतकऱ्यांना लागवडीचा खर्च कमी करण्यासाठी आणि बाहेरून खरेदी केलेल्या साहित्यावरील अवलंबित्व कमी करण्यासाठी मदत होईल, हे लक्षात घेऊन करण्यात आली आहे. नैसर्गिक शेतीमुळे मातीची निरोगी परिसंस्था तयार होईल, जैवविविधतेला चालना मिळेल आणि स्थानिक कृषीशास्त्राला अनुरूप लवचिकता वाढवण्यासाठी वैविध्यपूर्ण पीक पद्धतींना प्रोत्साहन मिळेल. नैसर्गिक शेतीचे हे फायदे आहेत. राष्ट्रीय नैसर्गिक शेती अभियान (NMNF) चे लक्ष्य ७.५ लाख हेक्टर क्षेत्रात नैसर्गिक शेती सुरू करण्याचे आणि सर्व राज्ये आणि केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांमधील १५००० क्लस्टरमध्ये १०,००० गरजेनुसार जैव-इनपुट संसाधन केंद्रे (BRCs) स्थापन करण्याचे आहे. या अभियानात १८.७५ लाख शेतकऱ्यांना नैसर्गिक शेती करण्यासाठी प्रशिक्षण दिले जाईल आणि त्याद्वारे ते एक कोटी शेतकऱ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचतील. २०१९ पासून सरकारने परंपरागत कृषी विकास योजने (PKVY) च्या एका छत्र योजनेअंतर्गत भारतीय नैसर्गिक कृषी पद्धती (BPKP) या उप-योजनेद्वारे नैसर्गिक शेतीला प्रोत्साहन देण्यास सुरुवात केल्यामुळे झिरो बजेट नैसर्गिक शेती असे नाव देण्यात आले आहे. BPKP चा उद्देश पारंपारिक स्वदेशी पद्धतींना प्रोत्साहन देणे होता, ज्यामुळे शेतकऱ्यांना बाहेरून खरेदी केलेल्या इनपुटपासून स्वातंत्र्य मिळते आणि ते प्रामुख्याने शेतातील बायोमास पुनर्वापरावर आधारित आहे, ज्यामध्ये बायोमास मल्चिंग, शेण-मूत्र फॉर्म्युलेशनचा वापर आणि वनस्पती-आधारित तयारींवर मोठा ताण आहे, सर्व कृत्रिम रासायनिक इनपुट प्रत्यक्ष किंवा अप्रत्यक्षपणे वगळले आहेत.
